Needlework box of sarcophagus form, on pressed metal paw feet, made from wood, with transfer-printed scenes of rural life, fisherman, horsemen, and the Doge's palace in Venice and lined with Manila paper. The box has compartments containing a needle case, pin cushion and small shells, possibly made in Mauchline, Scotland, or England, c.1830.
