Wooden Anubis no ears red collar painted remains of black paint can be seen old ticket with no. 954. Anubis was the god of the dead and was particularly associated with embalming and mummification. He could take the form of a black dog, or some say, a jackal. Late Dynastic Period 747-332 BC. Purchased by Wellcome at auction from part of Rustafjaell collection.
