cylinder jar
Pottery vessel black net decoration. 'PR34' written in blue on side of vessel. 24cm high. This is the last in Petrie's wavy handled jar sequence. William Matthew Flinders Petrie was the first to outline the chronology of these vessels following his excavations in the 1890s. Such vessels date from the Predynastic to Early Dynastic.
