Third Intermediate Period shabti. Faience, pale blue. Tools in black. Hieroglyphs down front in black. Eyes and headband in black. Mummiform. Broken in half and mended prior to 1997. Owner was Nes-wedjat-ba-Ankh-wennefer (?). Purchased by Wellcome in 1935. 135mm high. Shabtis of the Third Intermediate Period were mass produced in moulds and by this period owners would have one shabti for each day …
