Daniel in the Lion's Den
François de Nomé was a French artist who moved when very young to Italy, where he trained and worked. At the age of eleven he is documented in Rome where he studied with a Maestro Baldassare who has been tentatively identified as the Flemish painter Balthazar Lauwers.
