The Waffle Maker
Bakker Korff’s usual somewhat caustic humour is absent here. The woman making waffles is painted with just as much attention as the copper pans behind her, or the marble floor on which she sits. The result is a kind of still life in which the artist displays his feeling for colour and skill in rendering different textures and materials.
