Part of the outside walls of the church are still intact but the inside is deep in rubble. Some of the larger chunks of rubble are intricately decorated. In the middle of the church a statue of the Virgin Mary is still standing. A lot of French architecture and land was devastated by prolonged warfare as scenes like this typify.
