Defenders of Leningrad, ca. 1941

An illustrated color postcard printed by the Leningrad Union of Soviet Artists, depicting members of the armed forces and civilians standing united with weapons drawn, with the city of Leningrad behind them. The illustration is based on a 1941 poster by Vladimir Serov, captioned "Let us defend the city of Lenin!". See also:LEN.00014, LEN.00015, andLEN.00269.
