Pair of Earrings and Two Hair Ornaments
These jewels are part of an ensemble collected by Julius Stein van Gollenesse, director-general of the VOC (Dutch East India Company) in Batavia (now Jakarta). Attached to the top of the ornament in the shape of a horizontal crescent moon is a tiny eye.
