Anglo-Saxon shield boss(es) from Breach Down, Kent
The drawing shows a conical iron shield boss, and possibly the shield grip, and a knife. The 'Broad Sword' mentioned in the inscription is shown in Early Medieval Antiquities 44. The objects are from a barrow on Breach Down, excavated by Thomas Mantell in 1810.
