Gown in silk rib grey + silk satin damask grey, woven wide stripe rib white grey + woven flower white grey/grey; lining: bodice: cotton satin white, skirt: cotton white, bodice and skirt, cuff, long curved sleeve, queue; 2 fabrics; smock dress: over waist front 13cm side 6cm; 2x2 darts seams, smocked centre front panel, closing right with hooks and bows; on start as lapel sewn-on damask, wide at shoulder, narrow to waist and thence slightly flared and 2cm longer than bottom of bodice. Back: middle, rounder back and extra side seams; middle panels long and turned back to loops, loose-fitting. Sleeve: above the wrist sewn-on damask cuff. Cuff 4.5. cm, behind + middle front damask, further of the fabric; closes right side; pleated lace inserted. Lined; boning on all seams except centre back; satin waistband with hooks and eyes. Skirt: in front 2 smooth damask bands 28cm, falling open on 2 folds of the fabric, including smocked band; on hips band of fabric, upper half finely pleated; behind 2 bands damask falling open on middle back band in 2 deep bunching folds. Along hem 3 pleated bands 6cm; pocket in right back seam; closure in back. Lined; center back 3 tunnels with boning, ties at ends; hem reinforced with 18cm wool; trimmed with brown wool tape.Lined in figured stripe fabric with liseré effects; lining silk twill fabric.Made: possibly from older gown(s), given sewing traces.
