Clarinet in C
This is a clarinet made of boxwood, in five sections (barrel, upper, middle and lower joints, and bell), with ivory ferrules and brass keywork. It has five flat, square-cover keys mounted in knobs, raised rings and lower stock bulge, with flat springs attached to keys. The mouthpiece is made of dark wood with grooves for a thread ligature. Nominal pitch: C.
