Late Bronze Age Socketed and Looped Axe, HCA 283
This is a bag-shaped, looped socketed axehead (L 89.8mm) weighing 293.4g It has a slightly uneven, rounded mouth and a slight bevel on the rim. The collar is short and a thick loop is set at its base. The cutting edge is well expanded with very little wear. Casting seams are visible.
