Tea service for two people (tête-à-tête)
Shortly before the Loosdrecht factory was founded, the porcelain painter Louis Gerverot, formerly active in Weesp, made some sample pieces. This allowed factory owner Johannes de Mol to see whether he was suited to run the business. Gerverot misled De Mol, however; instead of making his own service, he bought a piece in Höchst, Germany, and simply painted it.
