Auguste SALÉ (my grandfather by marriage) was born on March 21, 1891 (three months too late, he said!) in Jarzé (Maine et Loire) and died on November 11 (!) 1981 in Ponts de Cé (Maine et Loire ) If he did the whole campaign, including Ypres and the first gases, between the 49th RAC and 112th RAL, he said little about it to his relatives.
