Bildnis von Edeltrud Steinle

Edeltrud Steinle, née Zimmermann, was the wife of the innkeeper at the Hotel "Römischer Kaiser", which was then located on the Kaiserstraße (today Kaiser-Joseph-Straße) in Freiburg. The portrait depicts Frau Steinle aged around forty, a few years before her death. The hotel, under new proprietorship, existed until the Second World War.
