Selbstbildnis Ulrich Bernhard

In tandem with the portrait of his wife, the Black Forest artist Ulrich Bernhard made this self-portrait which depicts him sporting whiskers. Painted on tin, the two images are still partially mounted in the frame with the original nails. As a label on the back of this portrait reveals, the frame came from a dealer in London.
