We follow the ship Braganza from the harbour of Tromsø to the Svalbard archipelago. The Svalbard Treaty or the Spitsbergen Treaty from 1920 recognises the sovereignty of Norway over the Arctic archipelago of Svalbard, at the time called Spitsbergen.
