FRAM - Joseph Carré, prisonnier de guerre
Joseph Carré's diary
My paternal great-grandfather, Joseph Carré was born in Plouay (Morbihan) on March 18, 1886, and died in 1955 in Calan. A farmer in Calan, he was recruited in Lorient and mobilized in 1914. He was taken prisoner by the Germans from May to November 1918. On the liner Lutécia which brought him back to France, he wrote about his days spent in captivity.
