Der Unteroffizier Georg Zimmermann im Ersten Weltkrieg
A German corporal in Romania and at the Western Front
Georg Zimmermann was born on July 11, 1893 as the first son of the farmer Leonhard Zimmermann and his wife Margarethe Gögner in Kirchrimbach near Scheinfeld. Two photographs from the time he spent on the western front and in Romania, among other things, have survived and were kept in a photo case by his second wife, Margaretha Frühwald.
