Émile Gasté's story from WWI
Émile Gasté was born on March 13, 1877 in Chanzeaux (Maine-et-Loire), where he worked as a farmer. He did his military service from November 1908 to September 1901, in the 25th Dragoon Regiment of Angers. At the age of 37, he was called back to military activity in August 1914 and joined the 72nd Territorial Infantry Regiment of Cholet which was assigned to the defense of the Paris entrenched camp…
