Paul Méric was a student at the School of Arts and Crafts in Aix-en-Provence. Mobilized at the age of 18 in 1916. He attended the officers' school at Saint-Maixent (infantry). Was second lieutenant then lieutenant. He was gassed at Verdun. But does not seem to see any after-effects.
