Notebook of Henri Bougue
Sergeant Henri Bougue (1898-1986), started the war in 1916 and served in Verdun. Wounded on Hill 304 in Douaumont (serious lung injuries), he was assigned to the Joinville Battalion for convalescence. The writing of the notebook probably dates from this period of convalescence.
