Hands off Battersea Town Hall
When Battersea Borough was joined with Wandsworth Borough in 1965 the building was closed down and threatened with demolition, plans had already been drawn up to replace it with a swimming pool and a library, Through vigorous local campaigning the building was saved and given a grade II* listing in 1970.
