Fragment of Ur game board
Replica of a fragment of an Ur game board. The game is named after the location of tombs where game pieces were discovered. Ancient Mesopotamian game, with rules recently decoded by British Museum curator Dr Irving Finkel and would have been played with counters and stick dice. From 2600-2400 BC. Digitised by attendees of the Tech 4 Heritage workshops in Mosul, Iraq.
