Roman mosaic from Bignor, West Sussex
A sheet of grey paper, on which are pasted a cut-down impression of an engraving by Thomas King of the Bignor pavement, and a cutting from the M[orning?] Post dated August 1811, and another cutting dated July 1811. The cuttings describe the circumstances of the find.The two newspaper cuttings decribe the finding of the pavement with an hexagonal pool, at Bignor in the summer of 1811. The engravi…
