The Sunflower

The use of natural elements as vehicles for symbolic images and highly personal, even autobiographic references single out Țuculescu’s oeuvre within the context of Romanian inter-war and post- World-War II visual art. The Sun Flower has an expressionist emotional potential, heightened by a very expressive brushwork; the eye doubles the flower motif, rendering this landscape rather unique.
