Rõngu tavern 1807-1830
The tavern site on the crossroads of Tartu-Valga-Riga and Palupera-Pikasüla is mentioned already in 1684. The house is believed to have been built around 1820. In 1989 the building was reconstructed to be used as a shop and a canteen. With the foundation stones cut from granite and vaulted cellars, the architecture is exceptional for a tavern of its time.
