Jean Garguelle is a farmer in Saint-Martin-Château (Creuse) where he was born. From the class of 1915, he fought against Germany from August 28, 1916. He was wounded in the arms and legs on October 31, 1918. He received the Croix de Guerre with star on October 23, 1917. He was released in Nice ( where he was hospitalized), March 20, 1919 and definitively reformed on May 12, 1921.
