A Romanian, officer in the Austro-Hungarian Army
Alexandru Tarcza de Săcăloșeni (Bubi) was a career officer in the Austro-Hungarian army with the military specialty mountain hunter. The beginning of the war caught him as a student-officer at the Cadet School in Wiener Neustadt. He fought on the Italian front. After 1918, he continued his military career in the Romanian army until his retirement in 1946, when he had the rank of colonel.
