Colour and film

When art meets science! The quest to make moving images colourful is as old as cinema itself. The techniques range from hand and stencil colouring to dye baths and complex chemical and mechanical processes. Some of them became popular selling points for the film works, like Technicolor, and were featured on the movie posters as part of the advertising campaigns.
